The upcoming Easter Special of BBC's Doctor Who is set to air on Sunday, April 17.
The long-running science fiction series welcomed comedian John Bishop to its cast as newcomer Dan Lewis. John's character is described as an everyday man from Liverpool who is one the Doctor's companions.
The latest series, Doctor Who: Flux, was set heavily in our city. But from the trailer of the new episode, "Legend of the Sea Devils", it doesn't look like Dan will be touching back down in Liverpool just yet.

After being plunged into the Doctor's world at the start of series 13, he has since helped to save the universe by tackling some of the Doctor's greatest foes, from Daleks to Sontarans. Dan is immensely proud of Liverpool, and in this latest episode, he takes on one of the Doctor's oldest enemies, The Sea Devils.
The Sea Devils' first appearance was against the Third Doctor, played by Jon Pertwee, when his arch nemesis and fellow Time Lord, The Master, attempted to seize control of them as part of his plans for world domination. The episode was broadcast in 1972, and now 50-years-later, the aquatic creatures - who were the original inhabitants of the Earth - are back to claim the Earth as their own.
The episode takes place on a pirate ship, and are we are introduced to a new character - Madame Ching, played by Crystal Yu. Madame Ching is a Pirate Queen, a real figure from the 19th century, she is said to have been as fearsome as Blackbeard, in an interview with Doctor Who Magazine Crystal Yu said: "She commanded roughly 1500 ships and 18,00 men".
In the trailer, we can hear that "the world is being disrupted" because of what someone has "unleashed". The swashbuckling adventure will test the strength of the Doctor's "crew", but it doesn't seem that Ching's men think they "stand a chance".
Doctor Who: Legend of the Sea Devils comes to BBC One and BBC iPlayer on Sunday April 17.
