Multiple fire engines were spotted just off the Quayside in Newcastle following a call out to an alarm activation incident.
Crews from the Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Service attended a block of flats on Queen Street in Newcastle city centre just before 9pm (January 19). No residents were evacuated from the building, ChronicleLive understands.
Two crews from Colby Court, two crews from Byker and an aerial ladder platform from Gosforth attended. Pictures from the scene on Queen Street show appliances in the street.

The crews are understood to have left the area shortly after 9pm this evening.
A Tyne and Wear Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: "Firefighters attended an alarm activation at a block of flats on Queen Street in Newcastle just before 9pm."
"Two crews from Colby Court, two crews from Byker and an aerial ladder platform from Gosforth attended. They left the scene shortly after 9pm."
