Strictly Come Dancing ended 2022 with a glitterball bang - but it’s also helping fans get 2023 off on the right foot as it brings its live tour to Manchester this January. From 28-29, stars of the latest BBC series will be joined by previous show favourites at the AO Arena for two nights of ballroom magic.
First staged in 2008, Strictly Come Dancing: The Live Tour brings all the joy of the popular BBC One TV show to arenas around the UK.
After the coveted Glitterball Trophy has been awarded for each series, fans look forward to seeing a selection of celebrities and professional dancers hit the road in the new year to showcase their best performances – recreating all the smooth moves and magic live on stage.
It’s already been confirmed that this years’ winner Hamza Yassin will be joining the lineup , alongside Molly Rainford, Will Mellor, Ellie Simmonds and Tyler West. More celebrities are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
In addition to the incredible choreography and wonderful music that Strictly is revered for, the tour offers an evening of dance entertainment that’s full of glitz, glamour and excitement.
The AO Arena will play host to four glittering shows , including two evening and two matinee performances over the two days.
Ex-pro-turned-judge Anton Du Beke will join fellow panellists Shirley Ballas and Craig Revel Horwood while It Takes Two host, Janette Manrara, has her cue cards at the ready to guide audiences through a feast of breathtaking dance routines and incredible live music, performed by a cast of celebrities and their professional dance partners, together with the Strictly Live Band.
Fans can expect exquisite costumes and first-class production values which Strictly is known and loved for, giving fans of all ages the perfect opportunity to extend that Strictly magic into the new year.
And if that is not enough, the live show audience can play judge at each performance as their text votes ultimately decides who wins the coveted Glitterball Trophy on the night.
There are a number of tickets available for all four shows, with some from as little as £42.50. They could even make the perfect Christmas present for that one person who hasn’t stopped talking about the final since the weekend.
