Injuries to know

The Saints pre-emptively ruled out free safety J.T. Gray (shoulder) and wide receiver Tre’Quan Smith (groin) due to injuries, later designating Smith to injured reserve for at least the first four games. Rookie running back Kendre Miller (hamstring) was initially listed as questionable to play but was later reportedly ruled out. Tennessee ruled out just one player, cornerback Tre Avery, but they’re managing minor injuries to multiple players.
