General thoughts
Brave, spirited. There is a lot of belief in that dressing room even though we haven't performed consistently within games as we'd like. But we've been in every game bar round one, competing pretty hard.
The first half was clumsy, then the referee made a big decision there. I never lost belief, at half-time we regrouped a bit, the intercept before half-time was a big play, an excellent read and then execution off skill and then be able to accelerate was a big play to get some belief. There was maybe some similarities to the play-off game here in the second half to get the ball rolling.
Managing twelve men
I probably didn't think about the scoreline too much. When the referee made that big call I thought we were still in it. It was going to take a lot of effort, some really good execution and maybe some things go our way, but the things that went our way were on the back of good, connected defence and sometimes you can get an intercept, or two or three I guess.
Tom Holroyd and the bench
Tom has had a really good season and been very consistent. He came up with some really important plays with good energy. James Donaldson has waited a long time for that turn and came on with some energy. Ganno (Morgan Gannon) came on earlier than we'd expected with James Bentley's head knock and did a really good job with smart and skilful plays.

Passage that lead to a few critical moments that helped us to get that result. The bench certainly does a good job but I don't think the energy was that bad to start with, but level of execution. It's a game we're not overly happy with our whole performance but we've only conceded three tries so you're always in it if that's the case.
Perspective
Things are never that good and never that bad is how It ry to e. The way they hung in there when things were particularly clumsy in that first half, it still wasn't that bad, gave us a chance to regroup and turn it around. I'd say that was a collective performance. I'd say some had a real clumsy first half but then a real strong second half which shows a lot of character. It's a brave thing what rugby league players do and when you're failing at it a bit it's even braver to find it in you to compete and test a team as good as Wigan on their patch. It's not often that things like that happen tonight but that's the beauty of sport. There's always a surprise around the corner. I think all of us can go to a Super League game at the moment and most games can go either way and that's a great state for our competition.
Tetevano red card
Firstly, I don't have too much time to spend analysing refereeing decisions. We'd already lost one edge back-rower with Bentley and then another one. But from the replays I saw, difficult to be conclusive on the point of contact and not overly sure how late it was either. But everyone is looking through a different lens.
Harry Newman
Harry has been very good with his defence particularly. He's a good reader of play and he trusts his instincts, which is good. Him reading the play, trusting his instinct and then his execution. The second, I think it was good, patient edge defence and that in itself applies pressure on the attacking players. He took his chance well in that regard. He's rolling his sleeves up and chasing kicks hard and carrying in yardage hard. He's a terrific competitor, Harry.
James Bentley
He was fine by halftime in terms of how he was feeling but he didn't have a chance of passing the HIA based on how he went down. But he feels fine, which is good.
