Everything Everywhere All At Once has won the highly sought after Oscar for Best Picture at the 95th Academy Awards.
The big blockbusters nominated for the award included Avatar: The Way Of Water, Top Gun: Maverick, and Elvis.
Also included in the 10-strong category were The Banshees Of Inisherin, All Quiet On The Western Front, Everything Everywhere All At Once, The Fabelmans, Tar, Triangle Of Sadness and Women Talking.
The cast of Everything Everywhere All at Once headed to the stage to accept their award and gave an emotional speech to the star-studded audience.
Everything Everywhere All At Once producer Jonathan Wang paid tribute to his wife and father as the sci-fi epic scooped the coveted best picture Oscar.
“This award is ours (and) its intimidating speaking up here let me just tell you that,” he said as he accepted the award.
“I never thought I would get to say this so let me say this with one voice, thank you to the Academy.”
Addressing his wife, he added, “if all this shiny stuff and tuxedos go away then I would happily do laundry with you for the rest of my life.”
Director Daniel Kwan paid tribute to all the storytellers that sheltered each other from the “chaos” of the world, saying “these stories have changed my life”.
Elsewhere in the evening, Jamie Lee Curtis broke down in tears as she took home her first ever Oscar.
The Hollywood star, 64, picked up the award for her role in Everything Everywhere All at Once and used her speech to pay tribute to her loved ones.
Jamie Lee said: "I know it looks like I am standing up here on my own but I am not. There are hundreds of people and hundreds of people. We just won an Oscar.
"To my family, my beautiful husband, Christopher Guest, my daughters, Annie and Ruby, my sister Kelly – we just won an Oscar.
"To all of the people who have supported the genre movie’s that I have made for hundreds and hundreds of thousands, we just won an Oscar together."
The actress wasn't the only Everything Everywhere All at Once star taking home an award at tonight's ceremony, with Ke Huy Quan winning Best Supporting Actor.
Quan paid tribute to his mother and brother as he accepted the award - mentioning how his journey began on a boat before going on to live 'the American dream'.
The actor received a standing ovation as he took to the stage and said: "My mom is 84 years old and she is at home watching. Ma I just won an Oscar!"
