Let’s not pretend that Genshin Arlecchino is not the star of this update in Genshin account. Practically everything we’ll see here is somehow related to her in one way or another. Be it the story, the artifact set added, the new area to explore, and more.
While this Update Features our newest playable Fatui Member, Arlecchino Genshin, it is also a host to some of the more sought-after quality of life updates, including changes to the Treasure Compass and Serenitea Pot furniture set crafting, among others. Arlecchino Genshin Impact
As previously mentioned, Arlecchino is the star of the this update. It could very well be called “The Arlecchino Update” instead of 4.6, as almost everything is based around her. And our Pyro Fatui Queen definitely deserves it.
Not only did she steal the hearts of many thanks to her Story involvement in Fontaine, she also has an amazingly cool design and playstyle to boot. Whether or not she’s “Really strong” in terms of the meta remains to be seen once the update releases, but her kit is definitely unique enough to make her the “Wish” (pun intended) of many players over the world. So, what does she do and when does the Arlecchino Genshin banner come out?
Genshin Impact Arlecchino’s Kit and Playstyle
Without going into too much details since we don’t have access to her yet and there will be a separate article for her in the future, Arlecchino’s kit and gameplay revolve around her “Bond of Life” a mechanic that makes her lose HP to boost her damage, while also being able to heal herself through her Elemental Burst.
She is the first character in Genshin Impact that has a damage increasing Passive Talent that also prevents her from healing through other means. This talent reads “While in combat, Arlecchino gains a 40% Pyro DMG Bonus and can only be healed through Balemoon Rising”
Since she is the star of the show, Arlecchino release date is the same as the update, which should be on the 23rd of April.
New Artifact Sets
The two new artifact sets that are coming with the new Fontain Area update are the Unfinished Reverie and the Fragment of Harmonic Whimsy, with the latter being a practically exclusive Arlecchino artifact set.
- Unfinished Reverie: This set finally enables “Burning” to be somewhat viable. 2pc - ATK 18%, 4pc - It increases the equipping characters damage by 10% per second when there are Burning enemies around, up to 50% damage bonus. If there are no burning enemies, it instead starts going down until 0%. This effect still works even if the equipping character isn’t active (on-field).
- Fragment of Harmonic Whimsy: This one works with Bond of Life, and is practically Arlecchino exclusive. 2pc - ATK 18%, 4pc - When the Value of A Bond of Life increases or decreases, this character deals 18% increased damage for 6 seconds and it stacks up to 3 times for a massive 54% DMG increase. This Artifact can be used with Arlecchino’s weapon on other Polearm-wielding characters.
New Weapon - Crimson Moon’s Semblance
This weapon is Genshin Impact Arlecchino’s Signature weapon. It’s a polearm and will be her Best-In-Slot weapon, boosting her damage by a significant amount. The numbers shown are based on Weapon LVL 90 and Refinement Rank 1:
Base ATK: 674
CRIT Rate: 22.1%
As we can see here, this weapon has a huge Base ATK value while being complemented by a decent CRIT Rate mainstat.
As for the passive effect: Gives a Bond of Life value of 25% of MAX HP when a charged attack hits an opponent. Has a cooldown of 14 seconds. While the equipping character has a bond of life, increases that characters DMG by 12%, and if the Bond of Life value is higher than 30% of MAX HP, this character gains an additional 24% DMG Bonus.
Additional Area in New Genshin Impact Version
The new area featured in Genshin 4.6 will be the Petricor Island and the ruins hidden beneath it. This area will most likely be explored through the new World and Character quests, one of which is for the featured new character releasing with 4.6 Genshin update - Genshin Arlecchino. This will also end with a new Weekly Boss fight being unlocked called “The Knave” where you fight Arle in an enhanced form (No better time to use the “Boss when you fight it vs Boss when you unlock it as a playable character” meme). This new Genshin 4.6 map addition will be a blast to explore.
4.6 banners Genshin
The genshin 4.6 banner leaks from a while ago were correct, as always. The first banner will feature our Fatui Harbinger, so if you wondered when is Arlecchino banner coming out - that’s the same date as the update, which is April 23rd. The other character on the first part of the 4.6 banners Genshin has to offer is the one and only “Magician” of Fontaine, Lyney.
The other part of Genshin banners 4.6 will feature reruns of Baizhu and Wanderer.
Genshin 4.6 release date
As we’ve already mentioned a few times in this article, the Genshin release date of update 4.6 will be on the 23rd of April, and if you’re wondering when will Genshin maintenance end for this update - it’s going to be around the same usual time as other updates, which will be different depending on where you live - but it usually ends around 7PM PST timezone.
Genshin Impact Quality of Life
Some amazing quality of life changes are coming to Genshin Impact which might bring some new and returning players back into the fold. These include:
- Treasure Compass Update: It will now show you the exact location of the treasure on the map, and will lower the CD of the item when you open the chest.
- Compact Map: Fast travel/Region Change UI will be more compact
- Serenitea Pot: Multiple updates to how Furniture Set crafting works
- Quest Tracking: Quests will show which item you need in the corner of the Quests interface, and players will have an option of turning on or off an “Immersive” mod which will cause less interference
Conclusion
This new Genshin update shows that the genshin impact 4.6 leaks were true, and those who leaked them are definitely trustworthy. But more importantly, it seems like it’s going to bring some much needed QoL changes and an amazing new character and weapon, while also featuring one of the more wanted reruns (Wanderer).
