Social media users were bemused after Stephen Cluxton began to trend on Twitter following Jason McAteer's recent comments on Brian Kerr.
McAteer recalled earlier this week how he questioned the former Republic of Ireland manager's credentials during his reign.
He said on Bein Sports: "I'll be brutally honest here. I played for Jack Charlton who won the World Cup and Instantly had the respect of the whole dressing room."

"Then Mick McCarthy came in who was a big figure in the Republic of Ireland, we looked up to him, we did what he wanted to do and we ended up running through brick walls for him. We got success and we got to the World Cup.
"Then Brian Kerr took over and I've got to admit and I'll say it now, I'm looking at this fella thinking 'What have you actually done?'
"We were having words with each other and I'm thinking 'you're trying to tell me to do this and do that, but what have you won in the game? what have you done in the game?
"Where have you played? Who have you played for? You're trying to implement these things and talk down to players."
The comments were slammed by former players and fans alike on social media, with Dublin GAA legend Stephen Cluxton's name trending on Twitter as a result.
Cluxton infamously punched McAteer during a charity match in 2011 and so many people highlighted the incident that the goalkeeper's name trended on Twitter.
One person said: "Stephen Cluxton trending because Jason McAteer is being disrespectful towards Brian Kerr. I love this app."
Another commented: "Stephen Cluxton trending on twitter because Jason McAteer is talking s**** about Brian Kerr, is just so Irish."
