Taoiseach Micheál Martin was one of the luckiest people in the world as he got a front row seat to an all time classic All Ireland final.
Galway pushed Kerry all the way, but Jack O'Connor's men reeled off four late points to win the game 0-20 to 0-16.
After the game, The Taoiseach got an up close view of Kerry captain Sean O'Shea lifting the Sam Maguire Cup. And for a devout Cork GAA fan, this can't have been an easy thing to do.

The fact that Martin, who's son plays for the Cork senior footballers, had to watch The Kingdom win yet another All Ireland title raised a smile to the lips of many Twitter users this afternoon.
Mike wrote, "Micheál Martin having to clap for Kerry must have hurt #kerryvgalway."
"Must be breaking Micheál Martin’s heart to stand behind a Kerry man lifting the Sam Maguire," said Orla.
John joked "Micheál Martin is used to these experiences."
While Aíne joked about how The Taoiseach seems to keep popping up on All Ireland final day.
This isn't the first time the Taoiseach has hit the news for being present at GAA games. The Corkman has been to watch his home county a number of times this summer, and even bizarrely sent some nature tweets during one such game.
While he did tweet today during the game, his post was actually relevant to the events unfolding on the pitch.
For once.
