Conor McGregor's social media followers were quick to point out the same thing following the UFC star's latest post.
The Notorious shared a picture of himself wearing boxing gloves and a groin guard in the colours of the Irish flag on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter in the early hours of Saturday morning.
But a number of people pointed out that the groin guard looked more like an Ivory Coast flag than it did an Irish one.
"Why are you repping Ivory Coast?", asked one person.
Another added: "Why are you wearing Ivory coast flag colours?"
Someone else commented: "Proudly represents the Ivory Coast."
One other fan said: "Ivory Coast colours right there."
Sharing the photo onl Facebook, McGregor commented: "The King Pawn", along with an Irish flag emoji, while he simply wrote IE on Instagram.
The former two-weight is set to return to action at welterweight in the summer and is hoping to become the first ever fighter to win titles at three different weights in the UFC.
Speaking to The Mac Life recently, he said: “I’ve already won the 155lb title. I got myself down to a lightweight frame, but I’m big now. I feel strong, I feel healthy, I’ve got good energy. I’m coming back after a gruesome injury. I do not want to deplete myself, there should be no need to deplete myself.
"I feel confident against Usman. A jab happy, sloppy, orthodox wrestler with no submissions whatsoever. What’s he going to do? Where’s the danger here? I don’t see a danger with him. His ground-and-pound isn’t strong, plus he’s on the older side."
"The triple crown. No one’s ever obtained three knockouts in three weight divisions moving up like I have already, but no one’s ever obtained three UFC world titles cross three divisions like I will do also if we make this fight."
