Everyone notices the same thing as Conor McGregor shares Christmas post

Conor McGregor shared a throwback picture as he got into the festive spirit on Christmas Eve.

The UFC star posted a photo on social media of himself with his sisters Erin and Aoife when they were schoolchildren.

But it was how much a young McGregor looked like his oldest child Conor Jr that most people noticed in the snap.

One person commented: "Your son is your copy."

Another posted: "Lil Conor is identical."

Someone else said: "Image of junior in this."

McGregor jetted into Dublin with his young family on Christmas Eve after a couple of days abroad and joked on social media that he was "racing Santy home" on a private plane.

The former two-weight champion posted on Instagram: "Racing Santy home in the G 1200 Gulfbird only buzzing don’t know the name of the plane haha happy Christmas my friends and family and fans and support all around the world."

The post comes after an ex-friend of McGregor lost his court battle against the MMA star over controversial "rat" tweets that a judge ruled were no more than vulgar abuse - and not "clearly defamatory".

The High Court rejected an application by retired MMA fighter Artem Lobov for orders requiring McGregor to take down the allegedly defamatory social media posts about the Dublin-based Russian.

In his ruling Mr Justice Garrett Simons, said that he was not satisfied that the statements made by Mr McGregor on social media where Mr Lobov is called "a rat" are "clearly defamatory."

To call a person a rat without more does not fulfill the definition of defamation, the judge held, before he dismissed the application for various orders against Mr McGregor.

The Crumlin native also ended his social media row with PJ Gallagher and Paul McGrath in recent days.

The bizarre spat started when comedian Gallagher took a shot at McGregor by sharing a tweet showing UFC broadcaster Laura Sanko claim he was a British fighter.

Irish football great McGrath then joined in the argument by labelling McGregor a "bully" after the Notorious mocked Gallagher's mental health.

In a video posted online, McGregor said: "That'll do, I'l tell yous what that's the filer that. We're going to call it a day on the PJ and McGrath and all yeah, yous won this round lads yeah fair play to yous have a good one. Lads, yous won this round fair play to yous, catch yous on the flip. I'm gonna bow out and say you know what, I'm going to be the bigger man and bow out."
