Manchester City captain llkay Gundogan has ruled out a future move to Liverpool and a reunion with his former manager, Jurgen Klopp.
The Germany international, who is out of contract next summer, was signed by the Reds boss for Borussia Dortmund in 2011 and would enjoy four seasons under his compatriot at Signal Iduna Park.
Later on, the 32-year-old would follow Klopp to the Premier League in June 2016 when Pep Guardiola made him his first signing as Man City manager. Completing a £20m move, he'd snub a reunion with Klopp at Anfield in the process.

It remains to be seen if the midfielder will remain at the Etihad beyond next summer when his contract expires.
Althought his future is uncertain, he has ruled out the possibility of a move to title-rivals Liverpool despite Klopp's presence at the club and the Reds' need for a midfield overhaul.
"I think I can rule out that happening," Gundogan told German magazine Kicker. "Everyone knows how much I like and appreciate Kloppo.
"But I’ve been at City for a few years now. And now as City captain to rival Liverpool? No, I can not imagine [it]."
Appointed Man City captain last summer, Gundogan has made 273 appearances to date for Man City, scoring 51 goals, and has won four Premier League titles, the FA Cup and four League Cups.. Meanwhile, it was his brace against Aston Villa that helped secure City's 3-2 comeback victory that secured the Premier League title at Liverpool's expense on the last day of last season.
