Manchester United suffered a humbling derby day defeat in a chastening 6-3 loss away to Manchester City.
The hosts blew Erik ten Hag's side away with both Erling Haaland and Phil Foden notching hat-tricks on a hugely memorable day for the blue half of the city.
Pep Guardiola's side were 4-0 up by the break and despite another strike from Antony and a brace by substitute Anthony Martial after the break, it did little to gloss over what was a sobering result for United.
Former United captain-turned-pundit Roy Keane predictably let rip at his old club following the final whistle. Here is the full transcript of his Sky Sports rant.

Keane on United's performance
"The way they started, they were slow out the blocks. (Phil) Foden said City were up for it, the first goal is huge, a goal down after eight minutes (and they) never recovered. They were sloppy in possession, (Marcus) Rashford didn’t get a hold of it. Just sloppy play. Everytime City went forward, they looked like they were going to score, Man City were magnificent, it’s a pleasure, watching them live - they’re the best team I’ve ever seen. For Man United it's a huge setback for them, we were giving them praise over the last few weeks but this is a step back. They were 4-0 behind at half-time, 4-0 down at Brentford, the performance second half was no good, the goals were a consolation, it was game over. City switched off, they made a lot of substitutions, there was no aggression, they were comfortable going forward but poor defensively. Nothing for United to take out of this game, from the players point of view, they should be embarrassed. You can’t go in at half-time 4-0 down, it’s hugely embarrassing, as brilliant as Man City were. They got overran in midfield, defensively all over the shop. No leadership, there was nothing there from Man United."
Keane on fast City start
"For all of City’s quality, you still have to have a little bit of heart. We highlighted it, the first goal - it’s five to 10 minutes into the game, it’s not as if they’ve worn them out with their passing, it’s early in the game, there’s no aggression. You’ve got to close people down, if you drop off the quality of players Man City have you’re in huge trouble. (Erling) Haaland and Foden were brilliant but if they’re getting service from Kevin De Bruyne and you’re allowing them time and space, you’re in trouble. Rightly so. It’s brutal for Man United, when you’re not quite at it you get hammered by your rivals. Brilliant for Man City but for Man United, again, they should be embarrassed."
Keane on Antony's goal
"It’s a lovely strike, we can all get carried away but the game is done and dusted. Sometimes it’s easy to play when the game's gone, City switching off, great strike - take nothing away, (but) Man City have switched off at this stage."
Keane on Haaland's goals
"It’s simple but brilliant. Brilliant players love playing with brilliant players. These players can’t believe it, they’re delighted to have him up front. The game is stretched, it’s like kids football - Haaland takes six touches, 25 yards out from goal, you have to be aggressive in the game. Great finish (Foden's third) but again, look at United, all over the place - I think their heads have gone at this stage. They're trying to play offside which is crazy when you’ve got those numbers back."
Keane on City's tactics
"Everyone’s got a plan before the game but it’s when the referee blows the whistle. To be fair to Pep, he had that message at the start, it’s about the players, smelling moments, reacting to something but Man United had an experienced team out there, we were talking about how many players they were missing. The one word you always use with Man City, whoever comes into the team, it’s pure quality. Their decision-making, they have time on the ball. United were all over the place and the goals they’re giving away then you hoping your goalkeeper might make a save. I can’t imagine going into a dressing room at a club like Man United and at half-time, you’re 4-0 down, it’ll be bizarre. They must be getting used to it because they done it at Brentford. The manager must be scratching his head thinking ‘we’ve made progress after the last four games’ - this is a huge setback."
Keane on United pulling it back to 6-3
"City were defending like Man United in the first-half, they’ve got players back but it’s walking (pace), there’s no intensity, the game's over and lads are just dangling their legs in. There's a lack of concentration and it's a good finish from United which will probably do him (Anthony Martial) the world of good, scoring a couple of goals after a few injury problems. It's something for him to take from the game. But not in terms of where the team are."
Keane on Eriksen's post-match interview
"He’s a senior player, he’s a top international player, you expect one or two to come up and front up what is a bad performance but again, it’s difficult after a match like that. He’s hit the nail on the head. If you’re a goal down to Man City after eight minutes, they had a couple of chances before that by the way, that’s sending a message that you’re not quite at it. Man City get their tails up and think they’re (United) there for the taking and once it becomes one or two, we’re sitting here, you get a feel for the game, you smell what’s going on. You’re thinking ‘I don’t like this, this is going to get ugly’ which it did. Don’t be fooled by the second half, United scored a few goals but the game is done. I try to visualise what they were like at half-time, they’ve got a lot of experienced players in there, an experienced manager, what must they have been thinking at half-time? They must’ve been shell-shocked. Four-nil down? It happened earlier in the season. But this is a derby game so you'd think there would be more intensity and that they’d learned their lesson from earlier in the season but it’s back to square one."
