The historic, 51-point performance we witnessed from star Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum was by no means the first time the St. Louis native broke the 40-point barrier in postseason scoring, with Tatum having logged some pretty huge nights on multiple occasions since coming into the NBA back in 2017.
The Duke alum thrives in the brightest of lights, and while it might drive fans of the ball club a bit crazy that sometimes it seems that Tatum needs to put himself in a hole to dig out of in order to unlock that god-level scoring ability he has deployed to great effect in win-or-go-home moments, he’s also hung some series scoring on teams that simply had no answer for him.
