'Every single game' - Fabio Carvalho shares Liverpool belief ahead of potential Anfield debut

Fabio Carvalho is excited to potentially make his Anfield debut when Liverpool take on Crystal Palace in their first home game of the new Premier League season tonight.

Liverpool are looking for their first win of the new campaign after drawing 2-2 at Fulham's Craven Cottage in their opening match. Jurgen Klopp will be hoping his side are able to put a disappointing performance and result behind them in front of the Reds supporters tonight.

The Reds midfield came in for much criticism after last weekends draw in London and, with Thiago Alcantara out injured with a hamstring injury, new boy Carvalho could come into the side to add creativity to the middle of the park.

Carvalho has impressed Liverpool boss Klopp during pre-season and made his first Premier League appearance for the Reds last weekend, but he could be in line for more minutes against Patrick Viera's side.

He told Liverpoolfc.com: "I'm looking forward to it but then I'm looking forward to every single game at Anfield. The away games too because I know the away fans are amazing as well. I just couldn't wait for the season to start."

Klopp could make changes to his Liverpool starting XI for the Crystal Palace match after many players were criticised for their performance last weekend. Joel Matip is one that will miss out through injury so Joe Gomez is expected to start alongside Virgil van Dijk at the back.

The midfield is the place most up for debate with Harvey Elliott impressing when coming on at Craven Cottage while Naby Keita has returned from illness to be in contention for a spot in the starting XI.
