A fine Rangers performance in Istanbul saw them defeat Jose Mourinho's Fenerbahce by three goals to one this evening.
Cyriel Dessers and Vaclav Cerny both netted for Barry Ferguson's men, who go into the second leg as favourites to progress to the quarter-finals of the Europa League.
Here is how every Rangers player rated...
Jack Butland - 7/10
Endured a lively opening half, denying Edin Dzeko with a fine save low and to his left early doors. Then collided with Propper after a lack of communication at the back, with the Dutch centre-half being forced off through injury. Butland could do little to prevent Alexnder Djiku's powerful leveller as he enjoyed one of his finer nights between the sticks for Rangers, making a fine stop late on, which may prove crucial.
Ridvan Yilmaz - 7/10
Once again featuring out of position at right-wing back, upon his return to his homeland, Yilmaz lived up to Barry Ferguson's pre-match praise. The interim Ibrox boss said the 23-year-old can become a big player for Rangers, and he proved his potential with a steady performance in Turkiye. Allan Saint-Maximin provided Yilmaz with some issues when he was introduced with just over half an hour to go, in fairness.
James Tavernier - 7/10
Started as a central defender for the second game running and didn't look out of place. Tavernier appeared to benefit from Rangers' surprising switch to a back five, linking up well with Souttar and Yilmaz and providing cover for the Turkish full-back when he got caught out or marauded forward.
John Souttar - 8/10
The returning central defender put in a typically stout display at the heart of Rangers' backline. Fitness has been an issue for Souttar this season, although he didn't look like a player who had a lack of match-sharpness. The Scotland international put his body on the line on countless occasions and played like a man with a point to prove.
Robin Propper - 3/10
Brought off half an hour in after a nasty collision with goalkeeper Jack Butland. Was replaced by Leon Balogun just before Fenerbahce made it one apiece. The Nigerian more than made up for Propper's absence.

Jefte - 7/10
As any left-wing back should, Jefte provided a continual outlet for his team out wide. The Brazilian was a constant threat going forward and could have had an assist had Cyriel Dessers not been a toenail offside just before the hour mark.
Connor Barron - 7/10
Sat as the deepest of Rangers' three midfielders and hung back in front of the defensive line when his colleagues Diomande and Raskin drove forward. It was, rather surprisingly, Barron's first start since a 2-1 loss to Manchester United at Old Trafford in January.
Mohamed Diomande - 8/10
Ivorian midfielder was a bundle of energy in the middle of the park. Diomande played just to the right of Barron and got up and ate up grass at an alarming rate. Got Rangers out of a notable few concerning situations at the back, relieving pressure on his teammates. It was he who forced the ball onto Dessers for the visitors' opener, which got them off to the best start imaginable.
Nicolas Raskin - 8/10
Similarly to his teammate Diomande, Raskin was also a vibrant source of vitality. As well as putting in the hard yards defensively, the Belgian drove forward and provided a threat on the counter-attack. Had the opportunity to put Rangers two ahead on 79 minutes but put that behind him moments later and played a sublime ball in behind for Cerny, who made it 3-1.
Vaclav Cerny - 9/10
Congenially linked up with Dessers for Rangers' second of the night, leading a fast-paced attacking move before playing an effective one-two with the Nigerian striker and firing into the back of the net from close range. Cerny than Ferguson breathing space late on, making use of his searing pace to break forward and calmly slot past Irfan Egribay. 27-year-old's impact since joining on loan from Wolfsburg last summer has been apparent, although it remains to be seen where his long-term future lies.
Cyriel Dessers - 9/10
Striker has proved somewhat of a talismanic figure for Rangers of late, and that was once more the case in Istanbul. Dessers opened the scoring early doors after rounding the goalkeeper and forcing his strike millimetres over the line. He then set up Cerny for his side's second of the night in a display any aspiring strikers watching on could have learned a lot from. Striker has now bagged four of the seven goals Rangers have scored under interim boss Barry Ferguson and deservedly received a Nigeria call-up yesterday.
Substitutes
Leon Balogun - 8/10
Introduced half an hour in following Propper's injury and immediately threw himself into a few strong challenges. Despite Ferguson having concerns over Balogun's fitness pre-match, he came on and put in a defensive display that one would expect from a player of his experience.
Ianis Hagi - 3/10
Came on to play in the city of his birth with just under a quarter of an hour to go and helped Rangers see out a famous away European triumph.
Dujon Sterling - 4/10
Brought on at the same juncture as Hagi, replacing the leggy Yilmaz. Saint-Maximin was posing a growing threat to the left-back, although his impact seemed to fade when the versatile Sterling came on.
Hamza Igamane - 2/10
Young Moroccan replaced Dessers in the dying embers and didn't get an opportunity to make as much of an impact as the enigmatic number nine.
