We’ve finally made it. Transfer deadline day. Time to iron the yellow ties, prepare scrolling fingers and get ready for a day of rumours and speculation.
The January window has hardly been one to go down in the history books, with clubs unwilling to spend huge fees in what is a notoriously difficult time to recruit players.
But there have still been some eye-catching deals, including Philippe Countinho’s return to the Premier League with Aston Villa, Kiern Trippier’s move to Newcastle United and Liverpool ’s bolt from the blue with Luis Diaz.
But as the minutes tick down to tonight’s deadline, teams up and down the country will be scrambling to complete some last-minute deals.
With that in mind, here is every Premier League club’s most likely transfer - and where they stand in terms of completing it before the window slams shut.
Arsenal - Douglas Luiz
The Gunners’ mad dash for a striker also looks set to go down to the wire, but Dusan Vlahovic’s move to Juventus, twinned with Alexander Isak’s unwillingness to leave Real Sociedad mid-season, means their options are limited.
Instead, they could turn to their need for a midfield signing, with Aston Villa’s Luiz on the radar. Steven Gerrard wants to keep the Brazilian and reports claim they could open talks over a new deal.
Probability - 4/10
Aston Villa - Rodrigo Bentacur
In the event that Luiz swaps the West Midlands for north London, Villa will need a ready-made replacement.
Juventus’ Bentacur had been heavily linked and could be available for around £16m. However, Tottenham now look to have moved ahead of them in the race to land the Uruguayan, meaning Steven Gerrard will be forced to find an alternative.
Probability - 3/10
Brentford - Brennan Johnson
The Bees have focused much of their window on landing Nottingham Forest’s Johnson and have already seen a club-record bid rejected.
Forest have been adamant that the winger will not depart this month and it would take something outlandish for that to change at this juncture.
Probability - 3/10
Brighton - Abel Ruiz
Conflicting reports have suggested that Seagulls have seen a bid for the Spain international rejected by Braga.
Graham Potter is in the market for another striker and the former Barcelona academy would fit the bill perfectly.
Probability 4/10
Burnley - Wout Weghorst
With £25m worth of Chris Wood money burning a hole in their pockets, the Clarets are hoping for impact signings in their battle against the drop.
The Netherlands striker is believed to have already looked around the club’s training ground, before returning to Wolfsburg to finalise his exit.
It is expected that a deal will be confirmed before the deadline.
Probability - 9/10
Chelsea - Ruben Loftus-Cheek
Thomas Tuchel has endured a frustrating month with Chelsea failing in their attempts to cut Emerson Palmeri’s loan spell short.
There has been speculation regarding signing a new left-back, but the Blues look to be setting up for an aggressive summer window.
In terms of outgoings, Loftus-Cheek looks the most likely to leave amid reports of Everton ’s interest.
Probability 5/10
Crystal Palace - Luke Plange
Palace are planning to swoop to sign young forward Luke Plange, with crisis club Derby County forced to sell off their star assets.
The ex-Arsenal youngster scored in what could be his final game for the Rams on Sunday, with Mail Sport suggesting Palace hope to get a £1m transfer wrapped up.
Probability - 8/10
Everton - Donny van de Beek
Today should be the day that Frank Lampard's return to Premier League football is confirmed. The ex-Chelsea boss has beat off competition to be named as Rafa Benitez's successor, ending his year-long hiatus.
His arrival is set to be quickly followed by Donny van de Beek's, with the Toffees winning the race to sign the Manchester United midfielder on loan.
The Dutchman is desperate to play regular football and could help Lampard's reign get off the ground quickly.
Probability - 9/10
Leeds United - Takumi Minamino
Marcelo Bielsa had hoped to bring Brenden Aaronsonl to Elland Road this month, but after seeing bids rejected, that now looks a deal more likely to be completed in the summer.
Minamino is an intriguing prospect having failed to ever really find a place at Liverpool. The Reds are open to selling after landing Luis Diaz and could let him go for £20m.
Probability - 6/10
Leicester City - Seko Fofana
The Lens midfielder has emerged as a surprise target for the Foxes, with reports he is an ‘object of desire’ for Brendan Rodgers’ side.
Fofana could join his namesake at the King Power, but like so many others across Europe, he is looking to finish the season before making his next move.
There is also the chance of a late defensive signing, if the right profile of a player becomes available.
Probability - 3/10
Liverpool - Fabio Carvalho
After stunning Tottenham by landing Luis Diaz, Monday could the day when they land another highly talented forward in the shape of Fulham's Fabio Carvalho.
The 19-year-old is out of contract this summer and the Reds are ready to pounce to secure a talent they have been monitoring for some time.
It is understood that a £5m bid has been lodged, which would allow Carvalho to complete the Championship season with Fulham, before joining up with Liverpool in the summer.
Probability 9/10
Man City - Julian Alvarez
This is a deal that looks done all bar an official announcement, City got their wish in landing a talented heir to Sergio Aguero, while River Plate will retain his services for another few months on loan.
River Plate president Brito has confirmed the transfer from their end, proclaiming: "We've a full agreement with Manchester City to sell Julian. The deal is done.
"He's going to stay on loan here at River Plate until July 7."
Expect some youngsters to go out on loan, but Alvarez’s announcement will be the marquee moment of the day.
Probability 10/10
Man Utd - Boubacar Kamara
United need a central midfielder but if Ralf Rangnick is to land one, it will go down to the last few seconds.
Kamara is a reported option for United, who could be available on the cheap due to his precarious contract situation.
Marseille hope to keep the midfielder, but United could get desperate. We’ve seen it before…Odion Ighalo anyone?
Probability - 5/10
Newcastle United - Dan Burn
No Kylian Mbape, but Trippier, Chris Wood and Bruno Guimares represent an impressive first window under the new owners.
While a move for Dan Burn looks all but agreed, all eyes will be on whether they can agree a deal for Man Utd's Jesse Lingard.
The Magpies have spent almost the entire month trying to sign him and will hope to iron out those bonuses which have held the deal up so far.
Probability 9.5/10
Norwich City - Todd Cantwell
Canaries boss Dean Smith has hinted that arrivals are unlikely, but in Todd Cantwell they could have a high-profile exit.
Cantwell is out of contract in the summer and Norwich could sell in order to recoup some funds while they still can.
Reports coming out of Carrow Road have suggested that the midfielder will have the choice between joining Nottingham Forest or Olympiacos on loan.
Probability - 8/10
Southampton - Tino Anjorin
After missing out on Chelsea youngster Tino Anjorin, Southampton look set to sign highly-rated Cheltenham centre-back Will Armitage.
The 16-year-old has made two senior appearances for the club and Cheltenham boss Michael Duff confirmed a deal was likely to be completed.
Probability - 8/10
Tottenham - Dejan Kulusevski and Rodrigo Bentacur
Welcome to Tottenham Antonio Conte! If the Italian was in any doubt about the scale of his task, a frustrating first window has crystalised it.
After missing out on Adama Traore and Diaz, the arrival of the Juventus duo will put a more positive spin on their window.
The two are said to have completed medicals on Sunday evening and will be announced today.
Probability - 9.5/10
Watford - Ashley Young
Roy Hodgson won’t have long to formulate his plans after his appointment last week, but Young is no stranger having selected the versatile winger in his England squads.
Only signed by Villa last summer, Gerrad has been impressed by Young’s workrate, although he has struggled for starts.
Probability - 4/10
West Ham - Duje Caleta Car
David Moyes is hopeful of bringing in defensive reinforcement and landing Caleta Car would end a pursuit which initially started in the summer.
Having seen a loan-to-buy offer rejected by Marseille, theyreturned with a bigger offer and could yet land him in the final hours.
Probability - 8/10
Wolves - Renato Sanches
Wolves looked destined to sign the Portuguese midfielder in the summer, only for concerns over an injury to scupper the deal.
Traore’s move could open the door for some late business at Molineux, having already signed Hwang Hee-Chan on a permanent deal and young winger Chiquinho.
Probability 4/10
