Every player linked with Celtic this summer transfer window as Ange Postecoglou eyes up Parkhead recruits

It has already been a busy summer for Ange Postecoglou's Celtic side as they gear up for Champions League football next season.

There have been two deals announced for far with Daizen Maeda penning a permanent deal and Cameron Carter-Vickers confirming his return to Parkhead on a four year contract.

And Celtic fans are hoping an announcement on Jota 's future is to follow.

The Hoops have already agreed to pay the £6.4 million transfer fee for the winger that was written into his loan from Benfica last season but discussions on the player's wages and length of contract are holding up final stages.

However, there is plenty more going on in terms of Celtic's recruitment.

Ange Postecoglou looks to be prioritising defensive recruits, with the left-back position top of his wish list.

The departures of Tom Rogic and Nir Bitton have left big boots to fill at Parkhead, with a new defensive midfielder a likely arrival this summer.

Record Sport have taken a look at all the linked players so far this window, and how things stand for now...

Vinicius Souza

Celtic are reportedly interested in Brazilian midfielder Vinicius Souza.

The defensive midfielder is a Hoops transfer target as the side are on the look another midfield option to go some way to replacing Rogic and Bitton who left after after nine years in Glasgow's east end.

The 22-year-old has just come off a big season on loan at K.V. Mechelen on loan from Lommel - making 35 appearances for the Belgian side.

And after an impressive campaign, Ange Postecoglou is not the only boss eyeing up the star, with Fenerbahce reportedly rivalling the Hoops for the Brazilian's signature.

However, the Turkish giants are said to be closing in on a deal for Real Betis' William Carvalho.

The Portuguese international plays in a similar position to Souza and if the Spaniard's land him, the pathway could be cleared in Celtic's bid to land Souza.

Ahmed Touba

The Parkhead side have also been linked with Ahmed Touba.

The 24-year-old left-back could provide Celtic with defensive cover and Ange Postecoglou makes back line recruits his top priority this summer.

But the Hoops will face some tough competition if they hope to snap up the Frenchman.

Marseille, Sevilla, Olympiakos, Angers, Benfica, Real Betis, AEK Athens and Bayer Leverkusen are all also interested in the star, according to Homme Du Match.

Alexandro Bernabei

The left-back appears to be high on Ange Postecoglou's wish list this summer with the star providing potential competition for Greg Taylor.

The Hoops boss look to have made bolstering his left-back options a top priority this transfer window.

And the Argentinian could be a good option.

Bernabei made 24 appearances for the Primera Division side this season, providing two assists.

However, Lanus have reportedly knocked back Celtic' s opening offer for the 21-year-old, Argentinian outlet TyC Sports.

Rabbi Matondo

Both Celtic and Rangers have been linked with the Wales Under-21 international, according to reports.

The former Cardiff City man has generated interest after a successful stint on loan spell for Cercel Bruges last season.

The 21-year-old netted 10 times in 27 appearances for the Belgian Pro League side last season.

Matonda has since returned to his parent club Schalke and with Club Bruges and Anderlecht also eyeing up the winger, with stay in the Bundesliga looking less than likely.

Christopher Scott

Christopher Scott has been linked with a move to Celtic for quite some time now.

Scott was first linked back in January when he entered the final six months on his contract and Record Sport revealed at the time he would cost between €300,000 (£257,000) to €400,000 (£340,000).

But now the 20-year-old looks set to see a deal at Bayern Munich extended this summer.

However, interest has not ended in the German youth cap, with Sky Germany claiming the German giants are open to loaning the player out this summer.

Mohanad Jeahze

Mohanad Jeahze looks to be on the Celtic radar this summer as the club look for a left-back.

However, reports in Sweden note that the Parkhead side are not the only club chasing he 25-year-old.

Expressen claim that Celta Vigo are also weighing up a move for the Iraq international.

Hammarby are reportedly looing to bring in Genk defender Neto Borges as a replacement for the full-back should he leave the club.

Benjamin Siegrist

Celtic have been linked with Dundee United keeper Benjamin Siegrist this summer as they eye up a replacement for Vasilis Barkas who agreed a season long loan deal with Utrecht.

Record Sport understands Hoops chiefs have made contact with the Swiss shot stopper’s representatives and are looking to add the 30-year-old to provide competition to Scott Bain as Joe Hart’s back up.

Siegrist’s Tannadice contract is running down and the former Aston Villa trainee has options on both sides of the border, with Preston North End and Blackpool in the frame.

Zinedine Ferhat

The Algerian was linked back in January and when nothing came of it, reports in France suggested the Hoops were keen on a pre-contract.

He instead finished off the season with Nimes but now finds himself a free agent after his contract expired.

The 29-year-old appeared on 14 occasions for Nimes this season and failed to bag a single goal or assist.

The midfielder has previously stated he wants to play at the highest level he can and the lure of the Champions League may prove tempting.

Jed Wallace

Celtic have been linked the Jed Wallace after the former England under-19 enjoyed a successful season with Millwall.

The 28-year-old appeared 38 times for the EFL Championship club, netting six goals and providing 11 assists.

Jed Wallace (James Chance)

The pacey winger could provide genuine competition for Liel Abada and James Forrest.

But with Forrest penning a new contract, Celtic may have lost some interest in adding to their ranks in that position,

But even so, Wallace also has plenty of experience as an attacking midfielder too.
