The January transfer window saw ins and outs at Nottingham Forest as it came to a close with a trio of signings on deadline day.
Injuries had a significant impact on the club’s plans for the month, with cover required for some key players. But the priority for head coach Steve Cooper was to end the window with sufficient strength in depth ready for the second half of the season.
"Like any transfer window, you want the window to close with the squad in a stronger place than when it started,” he said earlier this week. “What's been slightly unfortunate for us, both before and during the window, is we’ve picked up injuries and some illnesses as well. That has added to the jigsaw of trying to put the squad together.

“We had some clear plans going into the window. Some of them are things we’ve tried to complete, but there has been some added stuff because of the injuries.
“The objective, always, is to try to make the squad stronger, have the right balance and depth, and improve the team. Any manager would say the same.”
Cooper will hope he has enough in his squad to aid the Reds’ push for Premier League survival in the remainder of the campaign, having signed Felipe, Jonjo Shelvey and Keylor Navas on deadline day. With the window now closed here is a look at Forest’s ins and outs this month.
