With the Tennessee Titans owning the No. 72 overall pick in the 2023 NFL draft, we decided to take a look back at the last two decades-plus of the history of selections in that spot.
Of course, the Titans have picked in this slot once in that span, with the 2017 pick of wide receiver Taywan Taylor out of Western Kentucky.
Unfortunately, like most players taken at No. 72 overall since 2000, Taylor did not pan out for his team and was traded away to the Cleveland Browns before the start of the 2019 campaign.
Taylor went on to not record a single catch over two seasons with the Browns and has not taken an NFL snap since 2020.
Now, a look at the rest of the players taken in Tennessee’s 2023 draft spot in the third round, a group that includes just one Pro Bowler.
Note: An asterisk denotes at least one Pro Bowl appearance, a plus sign denotes at least one All-Pro nod.
