Everton fell to a second consecutive defeat in the Women's Super League following Manchester City's 2-1 win at Walton Hall Park.
Brian Sorensen's side went behind through a Julie Blakstad goal inside 32 minutes, but pegged the visitors back minutes later after Rikke Sevecke bundled the ball over the line.
City restored their lead early in the second half, however, with Everton unable to find their way back into the game.
MATCH REPORT: Everton match unwelcome WSL record with Manchester City defeat
The Blues remain seventh in the table, with a trip to league leaders Arsenal next up in the WSL.
Emily Ramsey 5
Made a crucial early save to deny Kelly. Could do little to stop the opener with two City players bearing down on her. Almost turned the ball into her own net on the stroke of half-time and was lucky the visitors didn't capitalise after a similar mistake in the second half.
Rikke Sevecke 6
Dropped off for City's goal but made some important clearances and bundled the ball home to get Everton level. Made a goal-saving block after the break.
Nathalie Bjorn 6
Booked for a cynical challenge on Shaw but more influential in the second half and fired a tantalising ball into the Manchester City box.
Gabby George 6
Defended well against Kelly down the right but unable to venture forward much.
Hanna Bennison 6
A good engine in the middle of the park but unable to influence the game too much offensively. Subbed.
Lucy Graham 6
Lost out a couple of times defensively in the early stages and made to work hard down the left-hand side.
Megan Finnigan 6
A lot of City's attacks came down her side in the first half but offered a aerial presence in the box.
Aurora Galli 7
Everton's brightest attacking player in the first half. Went close with an early effort from distance. Subbed.
Katja Snoeijs 5
Didn't see much of the ball in the first half. Worked hard in the second but unable to fashion a clear chance up front.
Elise Stenevik 7
Made a couple of crucial blocks and tried to get the ball forward from the middle of the park. Her superb delivery led to the Everton equaliser and she saw more of the ball in the second half. Subbed.
Karen Holmgaard 6
Worked hard and pressed well but unable to get on the ball in dangerous areas. Subbed at half-time.
Substitutes:
Aggie Beever-Jones 7
Showed good energy after being brought on for Holmgaard after the break and came close with an effort into the side-netting.
Gio 6
Almost set up Snoeijs late on but her pass was intercepted.
Clare Wheeler 6
Injected some energy after her introduction.
Leonie Maier
Introduced late on for Stenevik.
