Watch the Everton vs Peterborough highlights as the Toffees get off to winning start after Sean Dyche sacking on Thursday afternoon.
Everton Vs Peterborough Report
Just hours after the dismissal of Sean Dyche, Everton beat Peterborough United 2-0 in the FA Cup 3rd round at Goodison Park.
Beto scored the opener when he rounded the goalkeeper to slot home with 42 minutes on the clock. The forward was assisted by the brilliant academy starlet Harrison Armstrong.
Deep into second-half injury-time, Jarrad Branthwaite was fouled in the box. Iliman Ndiaye stepped up and scored from 12 yards to ensure safe passage into the 4th round.
Despite progressing, supporters will not have been totally convinced by the Merseysiders performance against their League One opponents.
On another day, The Posh could have caused the first major upset. Darren Ferguson’s side arguably showed the Premier League side too much respect.

Everton Vs Peterborough Highlights
Despite Sean Dyche’s exit, Everton stuck with the starting XI that their now former boss had apparently picked earlier in the day.
Club legends Leighton Baines and Seamus Coleman were in the dugout and neither of them would have been overly impressed with the disjointed performance.
An unusually subdued Goodison Park crowd were perhaps still surprised at the timing of Dyche’s exit. Nonetheless, the players struggled to get going.
In the end, the Toffees done enough to get the better of their League One opponents. One sour note from the game was Darren Ferguson’s failure to bring on Tyler Young to face his dad, Ashley.
