Eddie Howe made four changes to his starting line-up for the clash at Everton tonight after losing at Stamford Bridge. The Magpies were able to turn again to Joelinton after he shook off a groin injury while there was also a start for Joe Willock.
Miguel Almiron retained his place but Jamaal Lascelles was left out of the team with Fabian Schar handed the captain's armband, starting alongside Dan Burn.
Ryan Fraser was restored to the X1 while Chris Wood continued in attack while there was no place for Jonjo Shelvey in the squad as he recovers from illness.
Jacob Murphy was also rested for the encounter on Merseyside as Newcastle look to bounce back from the 1-0 defeat at Chelsea.
