Everton are reportedly in talks with Spanish side Villarreal to bring Samuel Chukwueze to Goodison Park before the transfer window closes.
Frank Lampard appears to have turned his attentions to La Liga in search of a new attacking option and according to San Sebastian radio station, Radio Estadio, the Blues are in advanced negotiations to capture the Nigeria international.
The Toffees are in talks over an initial season-long loan for the 23-year-old, with an obligation to buy for a reported €45million (£38.8million).

Winger Chukwueze has been with the Yellow Submarine since 2017, rising through the youth ranks and Villarreal B team before making his first team La Liga debut on November 5, 2018.
He has scored 25 goals in 162 appearances for the Spanish outfit and has 24 caps for Nigeria, scoring four goals. Chukwueze was part of the senior squad at the Africa Cup of Nations in 2019 and scored his first senior goal in the quarter-finals against South Africa.
Everton are in urgent need of more attacking options after losing Richarlison to Tottenham Hotspur, but have been given renewed hope of hanging onto young forward Anthony Gordon, despite high interest from Chelsea.
One player who has been linked with a move to Goodison Park but appears to be heading elsewhere is Adnan Januzaj. The former Manchester United forward is out of contract after leaving Real Sociedad and was available on a free transfer, but Radio Estadio says that he will undergo a medical at Sevilla and is therefore set to stay in La Liga.
