Everton transfer news: Richarlison wants European "giant" move and Jordan Pickford update

Everton's Premier League status remains in the balance, but behind the scenes at Goodison Park preparations for next season have already started.

Frank Lampard will want to overhaul the squad, regardless of what league Everton are in next season, and that means they will be comings and goings this summer. Lampard must also try to hang on to Everton's best players to form the nucleus of his side for next season and there are question marks over Richarlison and Jordan Pickford.

Mirror Sport has the latest Everton transfer news, including updates on Richarlison and Pickford's futures, along with a potential incoming from Celtic.

Richarlison wants to move to a "giant" of European football

Richarlison reportedly wants to leave Everton this summer and join a club challenging for trophies.

Goal Brasil claim Richarlison does not want to stay at Everton, even if they do survive, and has taken the decision to leave.

The Brazil forward would prefer to remain in the Premier League, but is open to the possibility of joining a European "giant", according to the report.

Richarlison is under contract until 2024 so he will not be going anywhere without Everton's permission, but his representatives are exploring his options if he does leave.

Celtic star non-committal on his Bhoys future amid Everton interest

Cameron Carter-Vickers refuses to give too much away over his future as his loan spell at Celtic from Tottenham ends.

Celtic have an option to buy Carter-Vickers and the defender impressed for the them in the title-winning season, making 45 appearances.

Carter-Vickers has had seven loans away from Tottenham and is keen to commit his future to one club.

90MIN claim Everton are keen on the American and it is understood his preference is to become a regular for a Premier League club.

Spurs target Pickford slammed by Carragher

Jordan Pickford is being monitored by Tottenham and the England goalkeeper is expected to leave Everton if the Blues go down.

Spurs see Pickford as the ideal successor to Hugo Lloris and will offer around £30million for him.

But Pickford was slated by Jamie Carragher on Sky Sports' Monday Night Football and blamed him for Jarrad Branthwaite's red card in Everton's defeat to Brentford.

Carragher claims Pickford should have come out of his box to deal with Brentford's long ball, instead of retreating and leaving Branthwaite exposed.

"Jordan Pickford for me is not brave enough," said Carragher. "When you're playing that high, your goalkeeper's got to be brave as well. I think Alisson, Ederson, the top goalkeepers in the country deal with this."
