Everton will announce the signing of James Tarkowski on a free transfer at the end of next week and are busy working on more deals throughout the summer.
Toffees boss Frank Lampard is determined to improve his squad after their relegation near miss. Everton must also deal with the uncertainty over the futures of strikers Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison with both players wanted by some of their Premier League rivals.
Mirror Sport has the latest Everton transfer news and rumours, including updates on Andre Gomes and their interest in a Watford striker potentially looking for a move to Goodison Park.
Gomes could leave
Football Insider claims Andre Gomes will leave Everton if they sign Harry Winks from Tottenham. Everton are keen on Winks and the report says his arrival would lead to Gomes' departure because the Blues need departures to help balance the books. The report cites Everton sources claiming Gomes would want to leave because his first-team opportunities could be hit by Winks' arrival. That deal is still some way off and Tottenham want £20million for Winks, while the Blues would prefer a loan deal for next season.

Lampard eyes Hornets striker
Everton boss Lampard is looking at strikers with the futures of Richarlison and Calvert-Lewin shrouded in uncertainty and is being linked with Watford's Emmanuel Dennis, according to FootballFanCast. Dennis performed well during Watford's disappointing relegation campaign and managed 10 Premier League goals and six assists. This form has alerted Everton and the Nigerian international could leave Vicarage Road following the Hornets' relegation. Everton could land Dennis for around £20million according to the report.
Veretout link
CalcioMercato claim Everton have joined Newcastle, AC Milan and Marseille in the bidding for Roma's Jordan Veretout. The Frenchman helped Jose Mourinho's Roma win the first-ever Europa Conference League and he is reportedly valued at £13million. Veretout had an ill-fated spell at Aston Villa a few years ago and he was part of the side relegated from the Premier League in 2016. Mourinho may be prepared to cash in on Veretout, who has two years left on his Roma deal, having just signed Nemanja Matic on a free from Manchester United.
