Everton £17m transfer decision is starting to pay off for Frank Lampard

Let's not beat around the bush, this will surely still be a difficult time for Vitalii Mykolenko. The defender will no doubt have his mind rather consistently back on his home country, as numerous reports continue to surface around Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

He is continuing to receive all the support he might need from Everton. Frank Lampard has often made the point over recent weeks that he would be in discussions with the left-back as to how he was feeling, but reiterated that he was continuing to train admirably.

But, as you would expect, it's taken a little bit of time for the 22-year-old to fit into his new surroundings. Even without the situation in Ukraine, it was always going to be this way.

'Edge of disrespectful' - Gary Neville sends message to Frank Lampard and Everton

Gary Neville says that he thinks Sean Dyche’s comments about Everton in midweek were ‘on the edge of disrespectful’.

The Blues are fighting to avoid relegation from the Premier League, and were handed a welcome boost following the weekend’s results. Frank Lampard’s side got all three points with a 1-0 win over Manchester United on Saturday. Then on Sunday, Burnley suffered a 1-0 defeat to fellow relegation rivals Norwich City at Carrow Road. These results leave Everton four points clear of the bottom three with a game in hand and eight matches left to play.

Earlier in the week, Everton lost 3-2 to Burnley which did leave them just a single point above the drop zone. In his post-match comments, Dyche aimed a dig at Everton and his thoughts on their ability to see out matches.
