Rumoured Everton target Mohamed Camara appears to have voted for himself in a fan page's Instagram poll on who the club should sign next.
A midfielder is still on the radar for the Blues after they completed deals for Conor Coady and Amadou Onana this week. Former Everton star - and Paris Saint-Germain player - Idrissa Gueye has been heavily linked with a return to Goodison Park this summer. However, the ECHO understands club officials are becoming 'increasingly perplexed' by the hold-ups that have prevented the deal from getting done so far.
So much so, a report in the Daily Mail on Wednesday claimed Everton have turned their attention to Red Bull Salzburg's Camara as an alternative.

The Malian has previously been linked with Premier League rivals Leeds United and Brighton this summer, but a move never materialised. He does, however, like to tease fans with his social media activity.
Earlier in the window, reports suggested Camara had 'liked' numerous comments on his Instagram encouraging him to make the move to Elland Road. Now, it appears he's done the same with Everton.
A Blues fanpage by the name @efcdzn posted a screen recording appearing to show the midfielder's response to their poll on Instagram. The story asked supporters to vote on who they would rather sign between Camara and Gueye. While Gueye had received the most votes at that stage, among those to opt for Camara appeared to be the man himself.
Amid the links to Leeds earlier this summer, Austrian media outlets claimed the player is eager to leave his current club in favour of a move to England. Salzburg 24 reported he is currently playing no part at Salzburg and isn't in the squad, despite the fact there has been no concrete offers for him so far.
The report adds Camara 'dreams' of the Premier League but his transfer fee and wages appears to be a stumbling block for any move. With no agreement so far over a deal for Gueye, it remains to be seen whether Everton shift their focus elsewhere with weeks remaining in the transfer window.
