Everton have been handed a fresh blow after Donny van de Beek picked up a thigh injury before his side’s clash with West Ham United.
The Dutchman was initially named in his side’s starting line-up by Frank Lampard. However, the midfielder picked up an injury to his thigh during the Blues’ warm-up at the London Stadium.
Van de Beek, on loan from Manchester United, was replaced in the Everton starting line-up by Mason Holgate. Normally a defender, Holgate was deployed in midfield.
