Frank Lampard's search for additional firepower appears to have landed in France, according to one report.
Media Foot claims that Everton are 'strongly considering' making a bid for Montpellier striker Elye Wahi this month.
The 19-year-old could be allowed to leave the Ligue 1 club for around £22.1million. The report adds that French club Lyon are also interested in the player who uses Jorges Mendes as an agent, but Everton are said to be leading the race for his signature.

Wahi has scored seven goals for Montpellier this season in 15 appearances. He has represented France at U16, U17 and U19 level. The teenager joined the Ligue 1 club in 2019, initially representing the B team, before breaking into the senior side.
Lampard is looking to strengthen his Everton squad this month and has accepted that improving his attacking options is one of the main areas of focus.
The Blues boss has already recalled striker Ellis Simms from his loan spell at Sunderland. Simms hit seven goals for the Black Cats in the Championship during the first half of the season.
