In the second half of the 2020/21 campaign, he hugely impressed in helping Blackpool secure a place in the playoffs and ultimately bagging promotion - although he missed their final match at Wembley through injury.
The forward scored ten goals in 23 League One appearances throughout his time with Neil Critchley's side before signing a new contract with the Blues in November 2021.
Simms was handed his Premier League debut by Everton in their 1-1 draw against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in December, with the striker starting up front as the side struggled with injuries and Covid absences to battle to a result.

Hearts find themselves third in the SPL table as things currently stand, nine points behind Celtic and 13 points behind league-leaders Rangers.
