Everton Women welcomed some new addititons to team training this week when the stars of Disney on Ice paid a visit to Finch Farm.
Four professional skaters linked up with first-team stars Aggie Beever-Jones, Rikke Sevecke, Courtney Brosnan and Aurora Galli to try their hand at some football drills and discuss the importance of championing women in sport. The skaters, who are in Liverpool for Disney on Ice presents Discover the Magic at the M&S Bank Arena, took some time out from their busy schedules to take part in a Strength and Conditioning Session with Everton First Team physical performance coach, Chloe Edwards.
They also demonstrated some of their own impressive skating skills, with the Everton players even learning some choreography from the show before concluding the day with a penalty shootout.

"It was brilliant to be amongst elite athletes from a different sport," Beever-Jones told the ECHO. "It was really enlightening to see how talented they are in different aspects like flexibility and agility.
"It was really admirable, although I think I need to work on my flexibility. Credit to these girls who have put a lot of hard work into what they do.
"We were just doing it here on the grass so I can’t imagine how hard it is on the ice. There’s a lot of transferable skills between the two sports too so it was really nice day."
Sarah Dalton, who portrays Moana in the show, added: "It was really cool seeing another group of females so passionate about a sport and how there’s so much crossover in that and the pride we share in the sports that we play. It was a really unique experience.
"Our show is called ‘Discover the Magic’ and it’s a really great blend of old and new tales. We’ve got some of the more well-known classics like Beauty and the Beast as well as some newer stories like Moana and Frozen so there's something for everyone."
Disney On Ice presents Discover the Magic is at the M&S Bank Arena Liverpool until Sunday, March 19. For tickets and more information click here.
Everton and Liverpool will face off in the WSL Merseyside derby at Goodison Park at 7.30pm on Friday March 24. Tickets are now on general sale. You can find out more here.
