Everton Stadium latest as new footage reveals latest milestone

While Sean Dyche continues to try and shape a winning team on the pitch, work is continuing at pace to build Everton's new stadium off it.

The spectacular construction has hit another key milestone, with the completion of the roof structure on the North Stand after the final roof truss was successfully put in place last week. It means that both of the stadium's full-span roof trusses are now in place, with roofing panels now to be installed across the whole roof.

Attention will now be turned to the South Stand, where the other full-span truss stills need to be bolted together, along with the other three sections of the third and final truss. An update on Everton's official website reveals that construction partner Laing O’Rourke remain on track to have the roof completed by Easter.

In a wider update on progress, the report said: "The final concrete pour took place this week on level four of the west stand, and the western wharf, adjacent to the River Mersey, has now been handed over to key supply chain partners Severfield, where they will shortly begin prefabricating the west stand roof barrel sections.

"Within the west stand itself, the internal fit-out has already extended up to level one, which will house the corporate areas. In both the ground floor and level one the head track – a profile which forms the top section of the internal walls- is being installed, along with rainwater pipes."

More visible developments can now be seen outside the stadium structure, including the Hydraulic Tower and adjoining Engine House, which now boasts a new zinc roof on the chimney. With scaffolding soon to be removed, bricklayers have started to rebuild the old station master's office.

Construction of Everton's 53,000-capacity stadium is scheduled to be completed before the start of the 2024/25 season. A video of the most recent progress in the project can be found on the club's office website HERE.
