Everton showing Leeds United admiration as quartet 'feature' on Goodison Park shortlist

Everton seem to be eyeing up an Elland Road raid with as many as four Leeds United players being linked with moves to Merseyside this week. Leeds will be keen to keep hold of as many players as possible following their relegation from the Premier League, as they look to launch a push towards promotion.

It seems inevitable, though, that some will leave the Whites this summer and the rumour mill is in full swing with players being linked away left, right and centre. However, according to reports, Everton are showing admiration of the talent United currently have on their books.

The Blues narrowly avoided relegation for the second season running last time around and it would seem as though they are keen to pick off the best players from those teams they finished above, with interest in a Leeds quartet. Crysencio Summerville is the latest to be linked with the Daily Telegraph suggesting that Everton could look to sign the Netherlands U21 international this summer.

Reported interest in Summerville has emerged from across Europe, with Aston Villa, Feyenoord and Borussia Dortmund all said to be keeping an eye on the winger. The 21-year-old is still on the rise as a player and he showed his potential last season with a number of impressive performances for the Whites.

Unfortunately, his performances couldn’t save the club from relegation and the rumours certainly cast doubt on whether he will be sticking around to help Leeds out of the mire. Recent reports have also suggested that Everton are in the queue to sign Jack Harrison and Wilfried Gnonto, too, while also being part of the crowd taking admiring glances at Tyler Adams.

The trio have also been strongly linked away from West Yorkshire this summer and it would appear as though they are the amongst the most likely to leave Leeds in favour of top flight football once more. Adams is supposedly on the shortlists of Manchester United, Liverpool, Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur, while Gnonto is said to be attracting interest from the likes of Juventus and Manchester City.

Everton almost certainly won’t be signing all four players but it seems as though they’re keeping their options open and they like what they see across the Pennines.
