Everton are set to confirm two new stadium partnership deals in the New Year.

The arrangements will be announced in the "coming weeks", according to chief executive Denise Barrett-Baxendale. They come as work continues on the waterfront development and amid ongoing preparations for the switch from Goodison Park to Bramley-Moore Dock.

Professor Barrett-Baxendale revealed the news in her programme notes for Everton's Boxing Day clash with Wolverhampton Wanderers, released early by the club. She also reflected on a dramatic year for the Blues, which included a battle with relegation, the new stadium's emergence on the Liverpool skyline and a strategic football review. While Everton enter the Premier League restart perched above the relegation zone and with an important few weeks ahead, she said was confident efforts undertaken in the past 12 months would bring long-term progress.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin fulfils year-long promise to young Everton fan

Christmas came early for young Everton fan Dylan when striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin fulfilled a year-long promise to visit him at home in Widnes.

The two chatted via a surprise video-link this time last year, shortly after 14-year-old Dylan had undergone a nine-hour emergency operation to deal with a brain aneurysm, which left him needing rehabilitation to assist with his mobility, speech and eyesight.

At the time, Covid restrictions meant that Calvert-Lewin couldn’t visit the teenager in person to deliver VIP tickets to a game at Goodison, as part of Everton’s True Blue Crimbo campaign to reward deserving youngsters who endured a tough year. But an unexpected ring of the doorbell earlier this week left Dylan stunned to see the Blues’ and England striker on his doorstep, bearing more seasonal gifts.
