Everton right to demand PGMOL answers and it could have big relegation say
Everton's search for answers over controversial decisions continued this week as the club sought an explanation over Anthony Gordon's Merseyside derby penalty claim.
Frank Lampard was adamant the Blues should have had a penalty after his young star tumbled as he battled with Joel Matip. In the aftermath he claimed Liverpool would have been awarded a spot kick had the roles been reversed, adding: "It was a clear foul. But you don't get them here."

While he said he had no plans to speak to referee Stuart Attwell over the decision, it emerged on Monday the club would be seeking details from the Professional Game Match Officials Board (PGMOL) over why the incident did not receive more scrutiny.
David Moyes' best Everton XI as Frank Lampard question posed
If Everton could hypothetically pick one player from the David Moyes era to help them over these last six games of the season, who would it be? That was the question that Everton correspondent Joe Thomas put to fellow Blues reporters, Adam Jones and myself in the ECHO office this week, and after I relayed the conversation on Twitter it’s proven a poser that has piqued fans’ interest.
Adam and myself almost instantly both responded with “Yakubu” – scoring goals has clearly been the main issue in recent weeks – but Adam says he will also accept shouts for Phil Jagielka , while Joe for his part has subsequently gone for Tim Cahill . These are desperate times for Everton and while it might be stretching things a bit to suggest that one of these old boys – some of whom were in their pomp almost two decades ago – could actually do a job for Frank Lampard’s side in their current condition (if we’re going down that road the Blues boss himself might want to lace up his boots), they might at least be able to teach the current crop a bit about team spirit and character.
Following the discussion and readers’ replies, I’ve come up with what I personally consider to be a best XI from Moyes' tenure and the particular vintage that I’d take from each individual player.
