Everton have gone back to Wolverhampton Wanderers in an attempt to land winger Adama Traore, according to reports.
The Blues are said to have registered interest in the Spanish international back in June and have been 'monitoring his situation' ever since. Now Football Insider claims that an approach has been made to Wolves about doing a deal to bring him to Goodison Park before the transfer window closes.
Traore, now 26, has been angling for a move away from Molineux for some time, having been with the midlands club since 2018. He spent the second half of last season on loan at Barcelona, but after making 17 appearances for the Catalan giants, they chose not to make his move a permanent one.

It has been suggested the player was holding out for a switch to a top-four club, but with that now looking increasingly unlikely, Everton will hope that they can bring the pacey forward to Merseyside.
Toffees Director of Football, Kevin Thelwell, is said to have a good relationship with Traore from his time as Sporting Director at Molineux and it is hoped that will give the Blues the advantage in any deal.
Traore was understood to be valued at around £20million back in June, but now in the last year of his contract, Wolves could be convinced to accept a lower figure.
Everton are potentially in need of a replacement for Anthony Gordon, who is the subject of strong interest from Chelsea. Should Gordon join the West London team, Frank Lampard will have another gap to fill in attacking areas.
