If Everton beat Bournemouth
The Blues will be guaranteed their top flight safety with a victory.
Everton are currently 17th in the table - and are now two points in front of Leicester (18th) and Leeds (19th), with those rivals separated by goal difference.
A win of any kind over the Cherries would mean the Toffees cannot be caught.
If Everton and Bournemouth draw
A point on Sunday would leave Everton at the mercy of other results.
If Everton and Bournemouth draw, Leicester could overtake the Blues by beating West Ham United on the final day.
Leicester are two points behind Everton, but have a superior goal difference that would edge them ahead.
Leeds technically could also still leapfrog the Blues if the points are shared against Bournemouth - but it is unlikely.
Goal difference favours Everton over Leeds by a margin of three, albeit the Yorkshire outfit have scored significantly more.
A Leeds win over Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday and an Everton vs Bournemouth draw would see both sides finish on 34 points.
But the required swing in goal difference would be a tough task for Sam Allardyce's charges.
If Everton lose to Bournemouth
The nightmare scenario would be a defeat at Goodison.
That opens up the possibility of Leeds and/or Leicester overtaking the Blues, and condemning them to relegation.
But either would have to win (Leeds vs Spurs, Leicester vs West Ham) for that to happen.
Everton could still stay up if they are beaten by Bournemouth - but that would require Leeds and Leicester to both fail to win at the weekend.
An Everton defeat, coupled with a win for either Leeds or Leicester, would result in relegation for the Toffees.
