Everton have confirmed that Abdoulaye Doucoure suffered a groin injury in Saturday's 1-0 defeat to Aston Villa at Goodison Park.
The midfielder was removed midway through the second half at the weekend, being replaced by Tyler Onyango for the final 25 minutes of normal time.
The Blues have now confirmed the issue that he has suffered, but have not yet put a timeframe on his potential return.

Doucoure will now begin treatment under the care of the club's medical staff, with Everton not in action again until an FA Cup clash against Brentford on February 5th.
The midfielder has played 16 Premier League games for the Blues this season so far, scoring two goals in that time.
The 28-year-old also suffered an injury in October, sustaining a fracture to his foot which kept him out-of-action for over a month.
