Talks between Everton and Paris Saint-Germain over a deal for midfielder Idrissa Gueye have 'resumed', according to reports from France.
Gueye, who left the Blues to join the Ligue 1 club in 2019, has been heavily linked with a return to Goodison Park this summer. However, with talks spanning over a fortnight, there was a growing frustration as negotiations stalled.
However, L'Equipe are reporting talks between the two clubs have now 'resumed' and are heading in the right direction. The report adds it is hoped a deal will be completed before the transfer deadline on September 1.

The ECHO also reported last week the problems have been 'ironed out' and the club were increasingly hopeful an agreement will be reached. The 33-year-old has been training away from the main squad, working alongside the other PSG players expected to leave this summer.
Everton have already brought in midfield reinforcement this window with the addition of Amadou Onana, who joined from Lille earlier this month. If an agreement is reached with PSG, Gueye could become the Blues' seventh signing of the summer, joining Onana, Conor Coady, James Tarkowski, Ruben Vinagre, Dwight McNeil and Neal Maupay through the door.
Since joining the Ligue 1 champions, he's made 111 appearances in total and scored seven goals in all competitions. Last season, he made 33 appearances but there is an 'acceptance' it's time for him to leave.
