Everton will have the chance to jump out of the relegation zone above Leeds United and Leicester City in the Premier League table on Thursday, as the two sides played out a 1-1 draw at Elland Road on Tuesday night.
Leeds took the lead through a thumping Luis Sinisterra header, only for Leicester to snatch a late equaliser through 36-year-old Jamie Vardy. The draw leaves Leeds two points clear of the Toffees in 16th and the Foxes just one ahead in 17th.
Elsewhere, Wolverhampton Wanderers took a big step towards safety as they beat Crystal Palace 2-0 thanks to an own goal from Joachim Andersen and a late penalty from Ruben Neves. They are now nine points ahead of Sean Dyche's side.

Everton will also have to watch relegation rivals Nottingham Forest on Wednesday night, as they host Brighton & Hove Albion at the City Ground.
Forest are in 19th - one point behind the Blues with an inferior goal difference - meaning a win would be needed for them to go above the Blues.
Bottom side Southampton are four points behind Everton and host Bournemouth on the same night, as they seek to build on a stirring point away from home at Arsenal last weekend.
The Toffees will be hoping for a repeat of last year's result against Newcastle at Goodison Park, as a 99th-minute goal from Alex Iwobi gave Frank Lampard's side a remarkable 1-0 win.
However, Eddie Howe's side are a more fearsome prospect a 13 months on. Newcastle sit in third in the Premier League table and head to Merseyside after hammering Tottenham Hotspur 6-1 at St James' Park on Sunday.
