Jordan Pickford - 7
Did really well to read the game and come out to stop Rodrigo on an attack in the first half. Could perhaps have done better with the goal, although he was unsighted, but he produced some crucial other saves in the second half to stop Leeds taking full advantage.
Nathan Patterson - 8
Made a couple of solid interceptions to stop dangerous crosses getting into the box before the break and recovered from something of a shaky start to the second half to look really strong again. How he might lament not putting a golden opportunity into the back of the net, however.
Conor Coady - 7
He'd been facing doubts about whether he could line up in a back four but he addressed them very well here. In particular his leadership qualities were on full display as he was constantly dictating those around them on where to be and when to make the run.

James Tarkowski - 6
Had dominated in the air over the course of the first half and continued that in the second period, although Joe Gelhardt did manage to get a couple of opportunities out of him when the ball was on the floor.
Vitalii Mykolenko - 5
Had to do a lot of defensive work over the course of the half and stood up to it fairly well, but he started the second period on the back foot and didn't really find his groove again after that. A difficult game for him here.
Tom Davies - 5
Picked up a very silly booking in the first half for needlessly attempting to kick the ball out of Illan Meslier's hands, but thankfully it didn't come back to haunt him. However, he wasn't quite up to the level of his teammates next to him.
Amadou Onana - 8
He carried on where he left off against Brentford with what was a really classy and solid performance across the 90 minutes. Full of strong tackles, good interceptions and accurate passing - he even nearly scored when a corner fell his way and only a header in front of an empty goal stopped him.
Alex Iwobi - 7
What a pass it was to Gordon to set up Everton's opener, threading a through ball with hardly any reaction time straight into the path of the winger to wrong-foot his opponent. He was top class once again for his side and really is the first name on the teamsheet right now.
Dwight McNeil - 6
A lively first half from the summer signing, who played an important role in the opener as well as Iwobi. His off-the-ball work proved more crucial than anything he could muster when in possession, however, and he's still waiting for the real spark to ignite his Everton career.
Demarai Gray - 5
Playing through the centre he gave the defenders something to think about at least, but it's clear he's not a natural there. He almost gave the Blues the win with his disallowed goal but was ruled to be very slightly offside.
Anthony Gordon - 7
Goals in back-to-back games, well you can't argue with that can you? It was another lovely finish from him as well to top off what was an exciting and high tempo performance once again from the 21-year-old.
