Jordan Pickford 7
Penalty save on the stroke of half-time prevented Everton from going in two goals down at the break as he won the battle of wits with Maddison to stay on his feet and parry his shot down the middle but will be disappointed after getting a hand on Caglar Soyuncu’s effort for the first and being rounded by Jamie Vardy for the second.
Seamus Coleman 6
Typically determined display from Everton’s returning captain who found Calvert-Lewin in the move for the penalty but he allowed Caglar Soyuncu to get between him and Michael Keane to fire Leicester level after the visitors had been bossing proceedings and then went off injured just before the break in what looked a very concerning incident.
Vitalii Mykolenko 6
Has struggled in recent weeks but looked more solid here, getting forward when he could with most of Everton’s defensive troubles coming down the middle.

Michael Keane 4
Along with Coleman, he was beaten to the ball by Soyuncu for the equaliser, run ragged by Vardy for the second when one-on-one and his handball gave away a penalty that could have brought a third.
James Tarkowski 6
Somewhat flat-footed for the equaliser and then allowed Maddison to thread the ball through between him and Keane for the second but there was a vital block in the second half when Maddison was about to let fly.
Idrissa Gueye 5
Booked for a foul on Maddison, he was typically combative but you’d just love him to show more composure when shooting, especially when he has time and space, as he blazed over the bar with an effort from outside the area.
Abdoulaye Doucoure 6
Plenty of hard-running from Everton’s most-advanced central midfielder who would try and get forward to support Calvert-Lewin when possible but one inviting opportunity that came his way was spurned after McNeil’s initial shot was blocked although he was unfortunate not to score late on when Iversen pushed away his low left-foot drive.
James Garner 6
Brought in because sickness confined Amadou Onana to the bench, he was unable to replicate the Belgian’s physicality but kept his shape well in a disciplined display.
Alex Iwobi 7
Brought plenty of energy down the right and redeemed himself for his mistake, giving up possession cheaply for Leicester’s second goal by taking his equaliser calmly, riffling in a low drive at the back post.
Dwight McNeil 7
Worked hard and looked like he was trying to shoot on sight whenever possible, he had several efforts that were near-misses while he also picked out Calvert-Lewin for what should have been a first half equaliser.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin 6
Won – though a nudge in the back by Timothy Castagne – and then coolly despatched the penalty for Everton’s opener, smashing the ball down the middle and into the roof of the net as Iversen went to his right but should have done better with a close range effort he shinned from McNeil’s left wing cross that could have been a first half equaliser.
Nathan Patterson (on 45 for Coleman) 7
Forced to come on just before the break due to Coleman’s injury, the Scotland international slotted in well in difficult circumstances with an energetic but disciplined display.
