Jordan Pickford - 7
Called upon to make a few important saves as the first half progressed with Nottingham Forest gaining more of a foothold on the match. The same continued throughout the second half, but his distribution was off throughout right up until a long ball which beat the whole defence for Everton to equalise.
Nathan Patterson - 6
Sharp to intercept a number of dangerous passes, getting his body in the way of his opponents and joining in the attack whenever he could in the first half. However, his influence waned as the rest of the match went on and he couldn't have much of an effect in the second period.
Mason Holgate - 6
Defensively sharp to open the game with his passing being key to his side having a good start to the match. As Forest started to pose more of a threat he was called on to do some more defensive work and looked reasonably comfortable.

Conor Coady - 6
Didn't quite get to grips with the range of his passing throughout the match but his defensive work was what really stood out from the centre of that back three. He made a number of important tackles and blocks throughout the 90 minutes.
James Tarkowski - 6
Was asked to make some important tackles and blocks in the first half, but his passing was far from what Evertonians have been treated to in his other appearances. That improved somewhat after the break but he remained solid in defence throughout.
Vitalii Mykolenko - 6
Joined the attack well on numerous occasions, including a situation which saw Neco Willaims go into the referee's book in the first half and was actually close to winning a penalty. That influence faded a little bit in the second period, but he's getting more comfortable with that wing-back role.
Tom Davies - 7
He really should have given Everton the lead after finding himself unmarked from a free kick, but that shouldn't take away from what was an impressive performance in the opening 45 minutes. He was replaced by Amadou Onana early in the second half which was something of a shame after a solid display.
Alex Iwobi - 8
Clearly Everton's best player on the pitch once again. Whether that's making 70-yard runs to track back and stop a Forest attack or by threading intricate through-balls to his teammates. He was so close to bagging what would have been the winner with a curled effort onto the roof of the net at the end as well.
Anthony Gordon - 6
Started the match in strong fashion but couldn't really get to grips of it after the first 15 minutes. He forced Dean Henderson into a couple of saves, but at times it seemed as if he was trying just a little bit too hard to have a real impact on the game.
Demarai Gray - 7
Looked quite sharp with a couple of efforts on goal and his deliveries from set pieces have been generally strong, but other passes in open play left something to be desired. However, he had the coolest of heads to bring down Pickford's long ball and slot it beyond Dean Henderson which is exactly what Everton needed.
Salomon Rondon - 6
He clearly gives Everton a lot more structure in terms of their formation when he's on the pitch, but he didn't have any chances to really get himself on the scoresheet. He was perhaps taken off due to a lack of match fitness, but the hosts looked worse for it when he was replaced.

Amadou Onana - 6
Showed a few glimpses of what he can give Everton in the future, but also picked up something of a silly booking for an attempted rugby tackle.
Dwight McNeil - 6
You could certainly see what he was trying to do with a lot of his passes, but they just didn't come off. It's clear he's not a striker.
