Jordan Pickford
Had very little to do in the opening 30 minutes, but he should have done a lot better for Blackpool’s opening goal. However, he did make up for the mistake with a flying save to deny Josh Bowler in the second half as Blackpool chased an equaliser.
Nathan Patterson
A brilliant display from the Scotland international as he showed Blues supporters just what he is capable of producing. Two assists and a constant threat down the right, he was Everton’s man of the match.
James Tarkowski
Another solid outing from Everton’s only signing of the summer so far. Not only does the former Burnley man defend properly, but he is also a leader at the back and doesn't hesitate in giving instructions to his team-mates.

Yerry Mina
A typical Yerry Mina performance. Enjoyed a battle with Blackpool’s Gary Madine and was dominant in the air during his outing in the first half. Frank Lampard will just be hoping the defender stays fit this season.
Ben Godfrey
Playing on the right of the back three and was key in setting Patterson away on a number of occasions in the first half. Was replaced at the break.
Vitalii Mykolenko
A constant threat down the left and could have scored before putting Everton ahead. Another member of the Everton squad who seems to benefit from playing three at the back.
Tom Davies
After missing a large chunk of last season, the midfielder got minutes in the tank, here. His efforts were rewarded with a goal and his performance will have certainly given Lampard much to ponder as he considers his midfield options.
Abdoulaye Doucoure
Joined in the attack a lot more than he did last season, but his touch and control could have been better. A few sloppy passes in either half that luckily, for the Blues, went unpunished.
Dele
Two goals and another 84 minutes in the tank. This game will have done the former Tottenham Hotspur man the world of good. After an indifferent start to pre-season, the midfielder showed just what he could offer the Blues heading into the new season.
Salomon Rondon
Clearly a lot fitter and sharper than he was last season, the forward was a real handful and gave Richard Keogh a torrid afternoon. Benefiting from a pre-season in which he has been able to get fit.
Anthony Gordon
A typical Anthony Gordon performance. Got on the ball as much as he could and looked to make things happen.
SUBS
Michael Keane
On at the break and will have been disappointed to see his side concede from a corner. Few sloppy moments when he was caught in possession.
Mason Holgate
The maker of Everton’s third goal. Was an outlet down the right and showed his turn of pace on a number of occasions to cut out danger. Another who benefits from the three at the back system.
Alex Iwobi
On just after the hour mark. Showed his versatility by playing in the middle rather than out on the right where he finished last season.
Allan
A big boost for Everton as the Brazilian made his return after missing the two games in the US. The midfielder’s experience is invaluable for the Blues.
Lewis Warrington
Handed more minutes with Everton 4-2 ahead. The biggest compliment you can pay Warrington is that he doesn't look out of place in the middle of midfield.
Stanley Mills
Produced a great intervention to block a cross from the right and was cool and composed on the ball.
Reece Welch
Produced a great block in the closing stages and also looked comfortable on the ball.
Isaac Price
Often found himself isolated, but he was constantly looking for the ball.
Lewis Dobbin
Showed a great turn of pace to nearly get in behind and was constantly looking to play on the last man.
