Everton are pushing to do some deals in the January transfer window as they look to stave off the threat of relegation.
Frank Lampard's side are now joint bottom of the Premier League with Southampton, who came out on top when the teams met at Goodison Park last weekend.
With another huge clash coming up this weekend, away to fellow strugglers West Ham United, it is clear the Blues desperately need reinforcements, particularly in attack.
But, 19 days into the window, they have yet to make a single signing. That, however, hasn't stopped the speculation.
And here we round-up some of the latest rumours regarding Everton, currently doing the rounds.
Spurs offer Everton Brazilian winger but Villarreal man wanted
Tottenham Hotspur have offered Lucas Moura to Everton, according to the Mail.
Moura, who famously sent Spurs to their first Champions League final in 2019 with a hat-trick against Ajax, has made 213 appearances for the North London club but is not expected to see his contract renewed in the summer. The 30-year Brazilian has fitness issues after missing most of the season with a calf injury picked up in August.
Meanwhile, the Mail also claims the Blues have made a loan offer for Villarreal's Arnaut Danjuma. The report says that the 25-year-old Dutchman has spoken to a number of clubs in the past days and will make a decision on his future this week.
Blues showing interest in Bundesliga hit Niclas Füllkrug
Everton are said to 'have an eye on' Werder Bremen forward Niclas Füllkrug, according to SportBILD, but have a job on their hands to convince him to move to Goodison Park.
The German outlet says that Füllkrug is the talk of the town currently, after netting 10 goals in 14 Bundesliga games this season, weighing in with two assists for good measure. The report claims that Hoffenheim and Borussia Monchengladbach are ‘interested’ in the 29-year-old but that the Blues also ‘have an eye’ on him.
Werder Bremen would want around €20m for Füllkrug, but SportBILD says that a bigger challenge exists in that the German himself fancies a move to a team near the top of the Premier League, like Manchester United, rather than one currently languishing at the bottom.
Moussa Dembele offered to Everton but enquiries made about Atalanta veteran
Former Celtic striker Moussa Dembele has been offered to Everton by current club Lyon, according to the Mail.
The 26-year-old Frenchman is out of contract this summer and has fallen down the pecking order with Lyon this season after losing his place to former Arsenal star Alexandre Lacazette. Dembele cost the Ligue 1 side £21m in 2018 and they will seek to recover some of that outlay with a January transfer if possible.
But if the Blues don't take up the offer to sign Dembele it could be because they have gone after Atalanta striker Duvan Zapata. Everton are said to have enquired about the 31-year-old, who would cost around £25m, although it is believed that he would prefer a move to London.
