Everton new 2022/23 kit release date teased by hummel as wait nears end

Everton kit manufacturer hummel have teased that new designs will be revealed this week as supporters could be nearing the end of their wait to see the club's new strip.

The 2022/23 strip has been kept under wraps recently, with the belief that is down to the main shirt sponsors. The Blues are changing the logo on the front of their kits this season to Stake.com, after opting not to continue with online car-selling brand Cazoo.

However, the contract with the latter doesn't officially run out until June 30th, meaning that Everton haven't been able to reveal a new design for their home strip as of yet. A similar wait occurred ahead of the 2020/21 campaign, when the Blues decided to move away from their partnership with Sportpesa.

However, it seems that fans might not have to wait too much longer. Sportswear brand hummel took to Twitter on Monday morning to hint that they are ready to release more of their new designs to the world.

They wrote, along with a gif of someone putting their thumb up: "Scheduling all the new shirt tweets for this week like...

"Respect to the fans of all our teams who continue to flood our notifications. Know that your voice is being heard, even if it feels like you're shouting into the wind."

No exact date is yet confirmed on when Evertonians might see one of their new kits ahead of the coming campaign, although it seems the club would be more free to reveal something by Friday of this week. Elsewhere in the Premier League, hummel also design the kits for Southampton - which is also yet to be confirmed at the time of writing.
