Goodison Park – a cathedral of English football and a Liverpool institution.
From Dixie Dean scoring his 60th goal of the season to that famous Bayern Munich night. Goodison has witnessed some breathtaking moments over the years.
But soon it will be no more. Soon Everton will be playing their football at a brand new state of the art stadium based at Bramley-Moore Dock.

And it was after that famous night against Bayern that Howard Kendall famously remarked: "Get the ball into the box, the Gwladys Street will suck the ball into the net."
In many people’s eyes it was Goodison’s greatest ever assist. An assist that sent Everton on their way to European glory.
But now Goodison needs to deliver again. It needs to find a way to help Everton avoid relegation and maintain its Premier League status.
The Blues, currently inside the bottom three, have three home games remaining, the first of those coming this weekend against Chelsea. It is a must-win for Frank Lampard’s side.
There aren't many stadiums in world football that can generate a cauldron of noise like Goodison can. Which is why the Blues may have one significant advantage over their relegation rivals.
Granted both Elland Road and Turf Moor are also capable of creating some great atmospheres, but neither come close to Goodison at its brilliant bear pit best. Hostile, passionate, Goodison knows how to deliver when called upon.
And called upon it is going to be in the coming weeks. With both Burnley and Leeds United outperforming Everton's players at this moment in time, now is the time for the 'Grand Old Lady' to make the difference.
Sir Alex Ferguson and Jose Mourinho have both been to a fair few football grounds in their time, but both have previously acknowledged how special Goodison can be.
Vote for England's best and worst stadiums here:
“It is always a nightmare going there and it wouldn’t matter whether it was Dixie Dean playing for us,” the Scot once remarked. “ The atmosphere is fantastic.”
While Mourinho once said: “I love to play Everton, especially at Goodison Park, where the atmosphere is magnificent.”
Goodison will sadly be no more in a couple of years as Everton look to move to Bramley-Moore Dock. But before the bulldozers move in, the 'Grand Old Lady' has one more assist to claim - and it could be its most important yet.
