Everton have reportedly made 'frequent contact' with Brazilian side Vasco da Gama over a move for midfielder Andrey Santos.
The 18-year-old played an integral role in his club gaining promotion to the top-flight during the 2022 season, which ended in November, scoring eight times in 33 outings.
Under contract until 2027, this has not deterred clubs from expressing an interest in the teenager. According to Brazilian outlet SBS Sports, Chelsea, Everton and Newcastle have been in direct communication with Vasco regarding Santos but 'no official negotiations have been opened'.

Any offer that arrives, depending on the value, 'will be evaluated' as the Brazilian club hold out for a worthwhile transfer fee for their star talent. Discussing the future of Santos earlier this month, Vasco director Paulo Bracks told ESPN : “The whole world wants Andrey, but he’s from Vasco.
"He has a contract with us, a strong contract (until 2027). And he should go to a South American U20 (Championship with Brazil). I can’t guarantee what will happen to him. (I want him to) stay with us, this year, in this Serie A project of ours. But he is a player who is on the market.”
