Everton are set to appeal Allan's red card against Newcastle United today.
It's understood that the club are looking to submit an official appeal to the Premier League on Friday, and they have until 5pm to do so. The Blues are hoping to have the red card overturned for wrongful dismissal.
Everton also are prepared for if their first appeal is denied. The ECHO understands that, in the event of an unsuccessful first attempt, the Blues would attempt to get the ban reduced.

In October 2020, the Blues similarly had a ban for Lucas Digne reduced after he was sent off in a defeat to Southampton. The left back was initially handed a three-match ban, but an independent disciplinary panel took the decision to reduce his suspension to one match.
Allan was sent off in the 83rd minute of the clash at Goodison Park on Thursday after bringing down Allan Saint-Maximin as the Newcastle substitute looked to hit Everton on the counter attack. After initially picking up a yellow for the incident, the midfielder was dismissed after Craig Pawson was advised to look at the pitch-side monitor by the VAR.
The Brazilian, as things stand, is set to be suspended for the clash with Crystal Palace at the weekend - before potentially missing Premier League ties against West Ham United and Burnley.
